Born in Los Angeles in 1959, M. Caron is the founding president of CCI. He holds a BArch from U. of Toronto and MArchUD from Harvard GSD. He is a qualified Project Management Professional (PMP). Michel also occasionally acts as an expert witness before the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB). He taught urban planning and design at the University of Toronto and he is member of several planning associations in Canada, U.S.A. and France.
 
Michel has a particular interest in long-term project implementation and the nature of the governance required to achieve it. The foundation of his practice lie in his equal interest in the value enhancement of development land and that of the public domain, including environmental and patrimonial preservation.
 
The pursuit of these ideals require a sound understanding of long-term strategic planning on a regional scale, and the capacity to deliver appropriate methodologies to physically supply essential infrastructure, housing and other public equipment.

M. Caron est le président-fondateur de CCI. Né en 1959 à Los Angeles, il est diplômé en architecture à l’Université de Toronto (‘86) et d’une maîtrise en urbanisme de Harvard (’96), il est aussi accrédité en tant que “Project Management Professional” (PMP) auprès du PMI-USA. Il est membre de plusieurs institutions d’urbanisme au Canada, aux États-Unis et en France.
 
M. Caron porte un intérêt marqué sur l’aspect pérenne des politiques d’aménagement, sur la nature de la gouvernance qui y sera affectée à long terme ainsi que sur la valorisation du territoire, la durabilité environmentale et la préservation patrimoniale.
 
La poursuite de ces idéaux relève de sa forte compréhension des enjeux stratégiques à long terme et de sa capacité de mener à bien la livraison d’infrastructures essentielles, de logements et autres équipements publics. M. Caron a enseigné l’urbanisme à l’Université de Toronto. Il a aussi travaillé au sein du département d’urbanisme de la Ville de Toronto pendant 13 ans avant d’entrer en pratique privée il y a 10 ans.
